Carrier has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager, Talent Management.  This global role will design, implement, and manage talent management programs (talent planning & succession, culture & engagement, performance, and development) to achieve business, talent and cultural objectives at the global level. 

About this role:

This position is a recognized master in Talent Management who collaborates with executive leadership to develop, implement, and align talent management processes and sourcing policies for an assigned area. Confirms talent management trends and recommends plans to address problems and improve processes and practices.

This individual will report to the Executive Director, Talent, Engagement & Culture – and will partner closely with multiple stakeholders including Talent Value Stream Leaders (e.g. Succession, Culture & Engagement, Learning, Inclusion & Diversity), Talent Partners, HRBPs, Specialized Services, Global People Services, HR Technology, HR Analytics, Communications, business leaders and employees across Carrier.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements strategies that will help foster an inclusive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to implement talent management strategies in an assigned area; develops plans to address short- and long-term talent needs.
  • Interfaces with the leaders of an assigned area to develop plans that align staffing strategies and the organization’s desired internal and external market position with the short- and long-term needs of the assigned area.
  • Reviews and confirms assigned area performance management trends and advises leaders on the pros and cons of solutions to address problem areas.
  • Develops and implements talent management programs and processes; advises leaders on where program and process improvements could be made.
  • Directs and oversees the deployment of a development and sourcing strategy designed to meet the current and future human resources needs of an assigned area.
  • Develop and demonstrate subject matter expertise across all Carrier talent practices to advise, guide, and consult HR, Talent Partners, and business stakeholders at all levels; stay up to date on talent trends and best practices through ongoing learning and benchmarking (10%)
  • Design, implement, and integrate talent initiatives, tools/resources, and training (Talent Eco System, LDR, HiPo Development, Individual Development, Culture & Engagement/Employee Experience, Performance Management) to enable best-in-class employee and manager user experience and adoption; manage and streamline talent resource access points (employee portal, Workday, Service Now) to enable one-stop shopping, simplicity and consistency (50%)
  • Develop and manage end-to-end talent change management plan to identify HR and business stakeholder business needs, concerns, opportunities and actions to enable buy in and adoption over time; manage Voice of the Customer talent surveys and focus groups; develop collaborative, consultative and trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels (10%)
  • Develop and manage end-to-end talent communication plan and key messages that are inspiring, branded and integrated across the employee life cycle in partnership with Communication Team and Value Stream leaders (10%)
  • Proactively identify, prioritize and manage Workday, Glint and other system issues and enhancements in partnership with HR Technology and Value Stream leaders (10%)
  • Partner with Analytics team to optimize data security, accuracy and insights; provide analysis & insights on key talent indicators to enable decisions and actions; develop and manage Talent Scorecard (10%)
  • Manage and optimize vendor relationships

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 7 + years of experience in the field of Human Resources
