The Strategy and Technology department (DHS) in District heating (DH) is a central unit. DHS has 9 employees and is headed by a VP who reports directly to SVP DH and is part of the DH management team. DHS is responsible for driving strategic projects and for providing technical advice to the DH organization.
This position shall assist with technical and strategic service/expertise to DH and thus contribute to the selection of the right technical solutions and strategic decision. This is to support DH`s business strategy and operating model.
Job Description
Strategy:
- Contribute in updating various strategy documents in DH (such as for instance; DH strategy, Asset strategy, R&D strategy, O&M strategy)
- Technical/Commercial advisor in early phase strategic projects and area development
- Support in the development of District heating business opportunities
- Advisor in M&A projects and greenfield projects
Technology:
- Technical support to operating units other relevant departments
- Operate as technical manager in the early phases of projects
- Ensure technical “know how” and state of art on technical solutions
Regulatory:
- Overview of relevant regulations
- Responsible for selected technical standards
Qualifications
Education:
Higher relevant; B.SC and/or Master level within process engineering, chemical engineering, thermodynamics,
Experience / knowledge:
- Broad knowledge about thermal processes and/or chemical processes
- Experiences with heating and cooling systems
- Experience from strategy work/processes and understanding of business models
Personal qualifications:
- Proactive, curious, dutiful, analytical and ability to complete tasks within agreed deadline
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communications skills and fluent in Norwegian and Norwegian
- Commercial mindset
