WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:
This position is fully remote and open to candidates within the United States. Equipment for the role will be provided and training will occur virtually.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
To drive high-converting, compliant, and efficient performance of Pump Sales Associates (PSA’s) by combining KPI ownership, hands-on coaching, cross-functional collaboration, and operational discipline, ensuring both productivity and quality in converting new patient to loyal Tandem pump users and renewing existing patients to keep them within the Tandem franchise.
Pump Sales Supervisors at Tandem are also responsible for:
- Coach & Develop: Deliver hands-on coaching through call reviews, live monitoring, role-plays, and structured feedback. Use a standardized scorecard to assess skills like trust-building, needs discovery, objection handling, and closing. Lead by example with live call demos and “Listen In with Me” sessions.
- Drive Performance: Monitor key sales metrics (conversion rates, funnel health, daily activity, and opportunity follow-up) using tools like PowerBI, CRM, PMT, and Genesys. Track pod-level KPIs and individual performance by quartiles. Implement structured performance improvement plans (PIPs) as needed.
- Onboard & Ramp Reps: Partner with training to accelerate new hire success through a structured ramp process—shadowing, reverse-shadowing, milestone tracking, and daily coaching. Drive accountability toward ramp goals (Week 6: 50% of team average | Week 10: 75%).
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Liaise with field sales, insurance, distribution, and customer support teams to ensure efficient lead handoffs, issue resolution, and a smooth workflow. Act as a first responder for lead-processing issues or CRM blockers.
- Foster Growth: Deliver monthly training modules and targeted refreshers to address product updates, insurance trends, and evolving market needs. Empower top performers to serve as “pod champions” and peer coaches.
- Champion Compliance & Culture: Ensure all CRM documentation and outreach follow QA/RA, HIPAA, and internal standards. Build a culture of recognition, accountability, and continuous feedback. Model a “coaching-first” leadership mindset and use data to inform decision-making.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in a sales or inside sales role—ideally within healthcare, insurance, or DME
- 1–2 years in a Team Lead or Senior-level position (highly preferred)
- Proven success managing and converting a high volume of inbound leads
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (such as Salesforce), reporting tools (like PowerBI), and pipeline management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle objections and clearly convey value
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting peers in a sales setting
- Working knowledge of healthcare compliance standards, including HIPAA and QA/RA requirements
