This role is within our Residency Offering, which is a solution that provides strategic technical resources to our customers on a contractual basis.

• M-F 8-5 pm PST
• W2/ 3 month contract with possible extensions
• $80-$95 hourly

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• We are seeking an experienced AVD/VDI Project Lead  to validate use cases, test applications, and optimize performance on their Android Virtual Device (AVD) and/or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment that has a strong Microsoft Windows background.
• The ideal candidate should have experience with load testing, firewalls, networking concepts, storage options, FSLogix or similar products, image automation tools, and keeping up-to-date with new feature releases and industry trends.  
• Work with clients to validate use cases and test applications on their AVD/VDI environment.
• Perform performance load testing to ensure the AVD/VDI environment can handle high levels of user activity.
• Work with the client to align with their upcoming firewall configuration.
• Validate and troubleshoot any profile issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance (such as changing storage accounts to ZRS over LRS), while considering the additional cost.
• Implement FSLogix controls to help with storage and cache data.
• Stay up to date with new features released since the original AVD/VDI design and review their potential impact on the environment.
• Automate image creation for more efficient and consistent deployment.
• Collaborate with the client to validate use cases and to help them make the most of their AVD/VDI environment.

 

What you'll need to succeed:

 

• Experience working with AVD/VDI environments.
• Knowledge of load testing tools and procedures.
• Familiarity with firewalls and networking concepts.
• Ability to optimize performance through storage options.
• Experience with FSLogix or similar products.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with clients to understand their needs.
• Experience with image automation tools.
• Ability to keep up-to-date with new feature releases and stay informed on industry trends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
