JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: STRATEGY AND REAL ESTATE INTERN
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Strategy & Real Estate Intern will work directly with the Office of the Chief Strategy Officer and gain hands on exposure to the strategic, analytical, and planning elements of a diverse, growth oriented organization. This role is designed for a highly motivated student or recent graduate interested in strategy, real estate development, analytics, and corporate operations. The intern will support cross functional initiatives while learning how strategic decisions are developed and executed across the enterprise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Real Estate Initiatives
• Learn about and support the company’s real estate initiatives, including site selection development, entitlement, and long term planning efforts.
• Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and workstreams related to real estate efforts in Nassau County and other real estate or corporate initiatives.
• Assist with tracking action items, milestones, and progress on strategic initiatives and special projects.
Analysis & Research
• Conduct exploratory research on AI applications and process automation trends relevant to the business and summarize potential implications or opportunities.
• Assist with analysis of internal data, trends, and performance metrics to support strategic decision making.
• Conduct market, industry, and competitive research related to assigned projects.
• Prepare summaries, briefing materials, and basic analytical outputs for internal use.
Marketing & Communications Support
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to help develop website content that profiles and markets the company’s real estate assets.
• Assist with content organization, asset compilation, and basic messaging drafts aligned with established brand standards.
General Support
• Provide general research, analytical, and project support to the Office of the Chief Strategy Officer.
• Help document processes, maintain project trackers, and organize materials to support ongoing initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business, finance, real estate, economics, communications, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
• The ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Arrive at work on time, consistently.
• Upon entering the property, arrive in business attire in crisp, clean and in good repair.
• Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
• Attend all required training, office and departmental meetings.
• OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform any additional tasks requested or assigned by the Chief Strategy Officer.
