Reporting to the Service Manager, The Service Technician I will perform board-level repair of surface mount and thru-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCB) at the Baton Rouge location. This position is a full-time, on-site position based out of our Baton Rouge, LA location.
What you'll do:
- Test and repair printed circuit board PCB including fine pitch component solder and rework.
- Perform quality control and sound tests to verify repair work.
- Use repair analysis equipment including, DMM, oscilloscope, and other common test and measurement equipment to evaluate PCBs.
- Frequently move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds across the warehouse and onto workstations
- Assist the Service Manager in other tasks as assigned.
Who you are:
- Functional understanding of repair analysis equipment.
- Ability to identify basic electronic components.
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
- Basic computer literacy including the ability to install/update computer applications.
- Possesses fine pitch solder skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to constantly manipulate hand tools over an extended period with short breaks.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary or standing position throughout the day.
