Registered Nurse (RN) – Lexington Emergency Dept.

This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. In addition to the sign-on bonus, this position is eligible for a relocation bonus if current residency is outside of the designated distance to facility. New teammates at Atrium Health are eligible for robust benefits packages and paid time off.

Where You Will Work:

The Lexington Medical Center Emergency Department focuses on patient care, nursing satisfaction, safety, and teamwork as it continues to grow. The department offers 25 beds and includes specialized areas for core emergency care, super track services, and behavioral health support. Our primary focus is to provide patient-centered care while efficiently stabilizing patients and ensuring appropriate management of their disposition. As a hospital dedicated to serving the community, we offer a comprehensive 45-bed medical-surgical unit, a post-surgical area with a focus on orthopedics and urology, and an expanding critical care unit. While upholding the approachable environment characteristic of a community hospital, we are progressing as part of the Advocate system, implementing advanced technology to deliver essential healthcare services to our patients.   

Expectations We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
  • 1-2 years of RN ED experience preferred

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Our 94-bed hospital provides advanced services in orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, stroke and cancer care. Our outpatient expertise includes digestive health services, a state-of-the-art rehabilitation department, a diagnostic imaging center and wound care center- all supported by the resources of a nationally recognized academic medical center.
