Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Factory Zero on a full-time basis.
Factory ZERO is our first, all-electric automotive assembly plant and the blueprint of General Motors' electric future! We have a corporate vision of “Zero crashes, Zero emissions, Zero congestion.” Our most novel products like the Hummer EV and our very first autonomous vehicle, Cruise Origin will be assembled right in this facility. This requires us to employ the most upbeat, capable, and innovative talent to ensure we meet the challenges of developing the new manufacturing processes required to assemble these outstanding products! The Role:
A Quality Assurance Auditor evaluates key customer experience factors and business requirements. This role requires collaboration with Operations, Support Staff, and occasionally groups outside the organization to gain insights into the performance. This position requires evaluation of calls, emails, and chat transactions, analyzing trends and root causes, reporting, occasional processing of transactions, and collaboration meetings.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct internal audits assigned to him/her per the quality plan
- Process cases for 4 hours/month to retain process knowledge
- Ensure 100% Audit/Evaluation coverage throughout the week/month based on published plans
- Conducts analysis of Internal/External Quality Data to identify opportunities
- Modify quality system requirements and forms with the global team
- Collaborate with the Training Lead to deliver refresh and/or quality improvement sessions
- Attend Team Huddles, Operations Reviews, or Business Reviews (but not limited to) and provide Insights to Performance whenever needed
- Collaborate with Operations and other support groups to drive adherence to Customer and Business requirement
- Writing and following up on corrective actions
Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with unionized workforce
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving/Continuous Improvement
- Knowledge of quality control procedures, manufacturing processes, and management systems as they relate to production operations.
- Must be able to alternate between 1st and 2nd shift and work overtime as required
