Job Title: Part-Time Customer Service Representative

Department: Campus Store (Auxiliary Services)

Reports To: Manager of the Belfry

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Summary:

Provides part-time, excellent customer service to campus store customers, vendors, and co-workers. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Welcome customers into the store and answer any questions they may have
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assess customer needs and provide assistance or information on product features
  • Drive sales through conversation and cross selling
  • Assist merchandise supervisor with maintaining merchandise in a presentable condition
  • Actively engage customers that are in the store
  • Process purchases and returns
  • Build relationships with customers
  • Suggest ways to improve sales 
  • Process shipping for retail mailing service
  • Cross trained on basic mailroom functions, such as accepting and delivering packages within the software system
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to learn procedures for inventory management and cash handling. 
  • Ability to process customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Ability to handle confidential documents in a responsible manner.
  • Ability to display strong service orientation skills, multi-task, and display sound judgment.
  • Ability to organize and manage time.
