Our Regulatory team provides essential guidance to TikTok and its family of products, ensuring that our innovation is matched with compliance, responsibility, and foresight. We empower the business by navigating complex regulatory landscapes, shaping strategies that allow our teams to achieve their boldest ambitions while meeting evolving legal and policy expectations. The Regulatory team is responsible for managing global regulatory matters, including advising on new and existing frameworks, engaging with regulators, and ensuring proactive alignment with fast-changing laws across multiple jurisdictions.



Responsibilities

- Advise and lead on regulatory engagement and investigations regarding data protection and AI matters;

- Assisting with and driving large cross-functional projects aimed at proactively bolstering GDPR and AI Act compliance;

- Support other regulatory matters relating to the Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act and other new and upcoming digital regulations in the EU and UK;

- Support on regulatory engagement in conjunction with the Government Relations team;

- Closely collaborating and coordinating with the product, public policy and communications teams on regulatory and policy strategies, external communication and investigations;

- Support our privacy and AI Act compliance programme, policies and procedures for TikTok in Europe;

- Assess and advise on best practice under GDPR and the AI Act.
