Senior Functional Safety Engineer (f/m/d)

<p>Your Tasks:</p><p></p><p>Team up with the domain experts at the Global Products (GP) product team level to acquire knowledge of the plans and designs for APTIV next generation of systems.    </p><p></p><p>Lead the development of a System Core FS Technical Solution to include (but not limited to) the following key information – focusing on scalability and reusability: </p><p>- Technical Safety Concept and Requirements as SEooC development</p><p>- Safety analysis as applicable (FTA, DFA, etc..)</p><p>- Hardware-Software Safety related Interfaces</p><p>- Standardized set of SW Safety Mechanisms with high level of re-usability  </p><p>- Standardized set HW Safety Mechanisms with high level of re-usability  </p><p></p><p>Collaborate with GP Advanced Engineering teams such Smart Vehicle EE architecture, Compute Systems, SW and HW architecture, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning teams to incorporate latest APTIV technology in the System Core FS Technical Solution</p><p></p><p>Help with the assessment of the FS implementation in the Tier-2 supplier components in the GPO product line and capture key interfaces and content in the System Core FS Technical Solution</p><p></p><p>Provide technical guidance and assist in handing over of the System Platform FS Technical Solution information to the Customer projects (including design artifacts such as safety testing). </p><p></p><p>Take ownership of key safety architecture related work products such as Technical Safety Concept and Requirements (TSC/TSRs), Safety Analysis, HW Elements Evaluation Report and SW Components Evaluation Report</p><p></p><p>Support advanced safety methods and techniques such as SOTIF, STPA, Safe AI/ML, etc..</p><p></p><p>Verify GPO design and Gate Reviews by providing accurate and timely status of the PSA development”</p><p></p><p>Support changes requests, deviation requests and escalation reviews related to the System FS implementation </p><p></p><p>Support developing FS related templates, design guides and training</p><p></p><p>Help with management issue tracking and design reviews meetings internally (primarily) and externally</p><p></p><p>Support FS technology awareness at APTIV by attending/presenting at technical conferences and delivering seminars to the APTIV engineers</p><p></p><p>Travel Expectations: up to 5% to assist with APTIV Engineering Competency and Customers</p><p></p><p>Support the development of a Supplier DIA with selected suppliers of ASIL rated SW and HW components</p><p></p><p>Your Background: </p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in EE, Automotive Engineering or Aerospace Engineering</p></li><li><p>3+ years of experience in Functional Safety (ISO 26262)</p></li><li><p>Experience in system modeling (SysML/Matlab/Simulink) </p></li><li><p>Experience in safety analysis (DFMEA, HARA, FTA) </p></li><li><p>3+ years of experience in system design and development  -  Preferred</p></li><li><p>Knowledgeable in automotive product development life cycle</p></li><li><p>Knowledgeable in requirements management tools</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to forge productive relationships, achieve cooperation, and influence priorities</p></li><li><p>Strong oral/written communication skills and ability to lead group projects and management reviews.</p></li><li><p>Must be pro-active and not one who waits on what to be told to do.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Aptiv Benefits:</p><ul><li><p>Our working style: flexible work environment</p></li><li><p>Learning, professional growth and development in a world-recognized international environment.</p></li><li><p>Access to internal &amp; external training, coaching &amp; certifications.</p></li><li><p>Recognition for innovation and excellence.</p></li><li><p>Opportunities to give back to the community</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Why join us?</p><ul><li><p>You can grow at Aptiv. Aptiv provides an inclusive work environment where all individuals can grow and develop, regardless of gender, ethnicity or beliefs</p></li><li><p>You can have an impact. Safety is a core Aptiv value; we want a safer world for us and our children, one with: Zero fatalities, Zero injuries, Zero accidents</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Apply today, and together let’s change tomorrow! </p><p>#CA-UH</p><p></p><p>Privacy Notice - Active Candidates: <a href="https://www.aptiv.com/privacy-notice-active-candidates" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.aptiv.com/privacy-notice-active-candidates</a></p><p>Aptiv is an equal employment opportunity employer.
