(Senior) Product Manager Home Energy Management App (m/f/d)

Your role

In the EU, heating, cooling, and electric vehicle charging at home accounts for the majority of a household’s energy use. Our products make these processes smart and empower our customers to significantly reduce their energy consumption and costs.

As (Senior) Product Manager Home Energy Management App at tado° your job will be to evolve our current tado° smart heating app into a comprehensive home energy management app together with your cross-functional team of engineers and designers. The future tado° app will combine the current heating and cooling function with managing electric vehicle charging, photovoltaic energy, home batteries, and dynamic energy tariffs.

Your responsibilities

• Form and continuously evolve a clear product vision for tado’s home energy management app and align it within your team and tado°
• Build a profound understanding of the relevant markets for home energy management and represent this perspective to your team to inform decisions and prioritization
• Engage with customers to form hypotheses about their needs, desires and pain points
• Develop and lead a culture of testing hypotheses and rapidly iterating to discover the best solutions
• Prioritizing your team’s focus from larger opportunities to the work on a weekly basis
• Defining and tracking success metrics to relentlessly measure if your team is creating value for our customers and business
• Closely collaborate with other product teams and manage all relevant internal stakeholders (such as Sales, Management, Marketing) and business partners

Requirements

Must Haves

• Proven track record as a product manager in building great mobile consumer apps
• Very good understanding and experience with home energy management systems
• Able to model quantitative business cases in Excel or Google Sheets to drive big and small decisions

• Experience with a state of the art product discovery process, standard methods and tools of digital product management

• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong sense of customer and business value

• Strong technical understanding of software development

• Ability to explain and discuss complex topics in excellent English

Big Plus

• You were responsible for a mobile consumer app for home energy management
• You have experience in the energy market, esp. energy flexibility trading
