The Royal Caribbean Group’s HR Strategy has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Director, Transition & Delivery reporting to the Senior Director, Global Business Services.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
The Director, Global Business Solutions (GBS) Transition and Delivery is responsible for the governance, process and leadership of the end-to-end execution of RCG’s global workforce movement including flawless delivery and implementation. The Director will work directly with the senior leadership on process transition timing and delivery details, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term vision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of workforce strategy plans, ensuring delivery of outcomes.
- HR business partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions during shoring and outsourcing.
- Lead change management efforts to align teams with workforce plans.
- Develop frameworks and tools for effective project delivery and scalability.
- Develop comprehensive transition plans, including risk mitigation strategies, resource planning, training and knowledge transfer.
- Oversee the delivery of GBS services to ensure they meet performance quality and cost targets
- Create, implement and maintain governance frameworks and performance metrics to evaluate the success of GBS operations.
- Serve as primary point of contact for all GBS delivery communication and reporting at the executive level
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with offshoring transitions (i.e.: operational, cultural, legal risks)
- Identify and implement best practice for transitioning and delivering GBS services
- Ensure effective collaboration between onshore and offshore teams to meet business objectives
As a member of the HR Operations Team, this role is also responsible for:
- Ensuring policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders
- Fostering team engagement and collaboration
- Leading, coaching and developing team members
- Attracting and retaining top talent within the function
- Managing escalations, including raising to Sr. Leadership when applicable
- Managing stakeholders as well as vendor relationships and contracts
- Communicating effectively to executive team
- Role modeling the highest standards of professionalism and ethics
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
- Degree in Business related field, Masters or MBA preferred
- 10+ years managing global cross-functional projects
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the cruise industry
- Ability to translate overall business vision and objectives into tactical strategies and executable plans
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and global teams
