The Statler Hotel, located on Cornell University's campus, is renowned as "the premier hotel that teaches." It serves as the practical hotel operations laboratory for the Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, providing students with hands-on experience in hospitality management. The hotel combines modern elegance with the vibrant energy of campus life, offering guests a unique and immersive stay. With over 150 rooms and state-of-the-art conference facilities, it hosts numerous important events and meetings. The Statler Hotel is committed to excellence in service and hospitality education, making it a cornerstone of Cornell's hospitality program.

A room attendant is responsible for cleaning and inspecting our hotel guest rooms, upholding our AAA four-diamond cleaning standards. Room attendants are guest facing, a must greet our guests with a warm and comfortable introduction. The room attendant is also responsible for maintaining linen room operations. Working schedules are variable based on business needs, and may require night, weekend, or holiday availability.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- High School education or GED preferred, basic reading and writing skills.
- Walking and standing 100% of the time.
- Ability to push housekeeping cart regularly.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling.
- Requires ability to perform light to moderately heavy housekeeping duties using the approved chemicals and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in custodian or hotel room attendant position.
