Free People Inventory Operations Assistant

Role Summary
Free People is looking for an Inventory Operations Assist to assist in driving the Free People business by supporting, monitoring, and expediting the flow of merchandise. Partner with the Buying, Planning, and Distribution Center to ensure accurate and sellable inventory is reflected in the appropriate channels to facilitate growth of the Free People brand. The role will be assisting in all channels: direct, retail, wholesale and international.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in Operations/Inventory management for all three channels (Retail, Direct and Wholesale)
Wholesale Support
- Own wholesale PO tracking and changes with partnership from the Production, Buying and Transportations Teams.
- Communicate any wholesale PO early receipts, delays and shortages to the Sales Team to improve visibility to meet the forecasted sales.
- Provide the DC with wholesale inbound production details for the current month to maintain visibility & PO receiving expectations.
- Ownership of daily system monitoring for all Wholesale PO transactional errors causing processing delays (includes both US and international errors)
- Manage UK wholesale PO tracking and changes with partnership from the Production, Buying and Transportations Teams.
Inventory Transfer Support
- Responsible for daily processing of Retail and Direct transfer orders FROM Wholesale
- Responsible for Monthly processing for Retail and Direct transfer order TO Wholesale
- Distribute /Communicate Orders to the DC for transfers from wholesale.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies that prevent transfer between business channels
Operations Support and Reporting
- Work with Buying and DCs prioritizing POs for receiving based on sales and marketing needs
- Daily Reporting: Direct Received Reporting
- Weekly Reporting: Inbound Transportation Reporting, Pick/Pack & Ship Processing, Backorder Reporting
- Support team as needed on Weekly Reporting: Catalog Reporting, and In Stock Not Online Reporting
Role Qualifications
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication skills
- Very detail-oriented to ensure data is entered correctly
- Strong Time Management skills
- High sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to learn quickly and to retain information. Must be analytical and be able to comprehend how multiple systems interact.
- Works well within a team environment and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
- Experienced in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience in Island Pacific, Blue Cherry and or Tradestone is a plus
