Lead Software Engineer

DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Analyze requirements, propose a solution, and lead the development of the accepted solution. Lead design reviews and provides design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information and data flow for software application development. Ensure adherence to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing. Incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications, document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, as well as develop and enhance software application modules. Conduct code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Identify and troubleshoot application programming-related issues and review and provide feedback on the final user documentation and mentors more junior engineers. Work with the test team to ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations, as well as in production support triaging activities and serve as a subject matter expert in the development of software. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Software Engineer, Sr. Associate - Projects, Associate - Projects, Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Software Engineer, Sr. Associate - Projects, Associate - Projects, Software Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Agile SDLC; Application Architecture Disciplines; Apache Kafka; Docker; J2EE; Jenkins; Spring; HTML; Java; Javascript; SQL; REST; Maven; JSON; Kubernetes; Oracle; Splunk; GIT; Junit; Functional Testing; Performance Testing; Regression Testing; and Unit Testing.

Full-Time. Salary: $153,400 - $185,000 per year.
