Location: Hybird, Exton, Pennsylvania 

 

Position Summary: 

 

The Colleague Success (HR) Business Partner reports to the Business Partner of the Product Advancement Group. The purpose of the role is to focus on tactical implications of the business partnering activity, including but not limited to, reporting and data analysis, oversee implementation of corporate programs and working proactively with leaders at different levels within the Business Unit. 

 

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role that requires a HR professional with solid HR generalist experience that can work autonomously on complex projects and interact with leaders at all levels across the organization.  

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Partner with leaders at different levels and provide strategic HR support to help them achieve business objectives. 

  • Ensure that corporate HR programs (owned by Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning and Development or Colleague Relations functional areas) are implemented in the Business Unit factoring in its specific priorities, operational cadence, structure and leadership composition. 

  • Tactical project management: support the design and execution of various types of projects. Some will be linked to larger corporate programs; others will be specific to the Business Unit. 

  • Work in close collaboration with functional areas in the Colleague Success team. Take a leadership position when it comes to how they support the Business Unit through their policies and programs.  

  • Engage with leaders at various levels of the organization to provide support and coaching in alignment with project design and implementation. 

  • As an experienced HR professional, you’ll also be expected to help and coach leaders at various levels on a wide range of HR topics. 

  • Serve as a communicator and facilitator to ensure alignment among different levels of leadership across the Business Unit: prepare and give presentations on Colleague Success projects, policies and processes. 

  • Operate with a data-driven mindset: gather available data effectively and generate actionable insights, either directly or through collaboration with the Analytics & Insights team. Turn those learnings into recommendations, feedback, projects, etc. 

  • And collaborate with the Business Partners team as needed, for example in projects that may benefit all supported BUs or on internal projects. 

  • This role requires minimal travel, on average once per quarter. 

  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions. 

 

What You Bring to The Team: 

 

  • Solid previous experience in a generalist HR role such as HR Manager or HRBP (typically at least 5 years).  

  • Ability and experience to adequately judge complex situations and determine the appropriate course of action. 

  • Strong functional knowledge of common HR technology apps such as HCM/HRIS, ATS, LMS. 

  •  Great data analysis skills: extract and format data from various systems, work with data in Excel and other tools to analyze in context. 

  • Execution driven. Excellent at HR project management and prioritization. 

  • Business acumen. Ability and interest to understand Bentley business, and how Colleague Success can be a business facilitator.  

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to connect and form trust-based relationships with stakeholders.  

  • Ability to give effective presentations, tailoring the message to the audience. 

  • Comfortable interacting with senior leaders and providing advice and support on colleague topics. 

  • Ability to work autonomously on assigned projects and priorities, balancing individual work and collaboration with others. 

  • Have a passion for culture and applied culture (the specific values and cultural traits of a particular organization, Bentley in this case).
