Overview
PepsiCo’s Digital Transformation requires new business processes, new digital products and new operations outcomes.
The transformation towards modern operations in an SRE construct is for all the programs under Digital products & Applications, per the main purpose to drive higher order outcomes to our customers who use our tools / products to achieve their business process resiliency enabled via a full SRE Practice incident prevention / proactive resolution model in the PepsiCo digital products application portfolio of 200+ applications
To bring this to life, we are looking for a self-driven, forward-thinking Director – SRE Application Design & Solutions, an advanced subject matter expert of application architectures both traditional on-prem & modern cloud native, Seasoned leader of SRE application support to deliver
a. New shift left activities critical to apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and quality assurance principles within the application design that enables resilient outcomes.b. SRE orchestration solutions of connecting all components of the ecosystem and preemptively diagnosing anomalies and remediating through automation, minimizing net business impact driving a delighted customer experience.
The Director – SRE application design & solutions, is the Americas leader representing the global team that defines and matures the full people, process and technology-driven Application Reliability & Assurance strategy roadmap, and enablement of an AIOps-led Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Practice towards full resiliency, availability and business continuity for Global Digital Products & Applications for PepsiCo.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the SRE & Quality Assurance Sr. director,
Is accountable & responsible to drive the SRE Engineering activities within the application design and building the SRE orchestration platform that enables seamless pre-emptive & proactive detect, diagnose & recover mniminzing the impact operating in an ever evolvling landscape of product offerings to deliver first class service to our customers
- Refine & deliver requirements for service enhancements with product engineering team and Solution architecture and collaborate with key product managers and stakeholders
- Be a Technical leader in the global DPA team that drives, measures and optimizes SLA/SLO/SLI, error budgets for the product offerings
- Leads the definition, collection and analysis of data relevant products systems and their interactions towards business process resiliency especially related impacting customer statisfaction, Revenue or IT productivity
- Resposible to develop / deliver SRE orchestration software solutions ,Build or Buy or Hybrid, a key transformation of Modern IT operations as-as-service that ensures anomaly detection, guardrails, and abstraction of IT interactions for seamless business continuity.
- Ensure that the SRE orchestration solution to scale across the cloud native and traditional on-prem application that enable end to end ecosystem interactions, proactive Health Checks across Business Processes, Applications, Services (ie. data pipelines) and Infra to identify deviations, assess accuracy, prevent faulty output, Dynamic workflow automation to recover & reprocess, provide insights
- Evolves our organization as Industry leader in SRE & AI Ops capabilities partnering with both internal Enterprise architecture and external SRE Practitioners
- Evangelism and education throughout S&T with all levels of leadership to ensure awareness and alignment DP&A Application Reliability & Assurance objectives and AI initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $1,25,900 - $2,49,900.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period.
- Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.
