Summary

The Senior Analyst, Network Planning & Cost Definition provides analytical support, helping GLOVIS America, Inc. make faster, better-informed network and pricing decisions. Working under the direction of the Manager, the Senior Analyst helps build and maintain cost models (CAPEX/OPEX) and assumptions, prepares revenue, cost, profitability, labor, and productivity analyses, and supports capacity and network-flow evaluation. The role is a key contributor to the team’s standardized framework and to business-performance reporting and dashboards used for monthly reviews and executive updates. The Senior Analyst is expected to demonstrate ownership of a defined scope or capability area, work through problems logically, maintain traceability from data source to conclusion, and turn analysis into clear, decision-ready outputs. This is a hands-on analytical role with growing independence; ideal for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience who is ready to deepen expertise in cost, capacity, and logistics analytics.

Compensation
$53,279 - $63,934 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities
• Prepare revenue, cost, profitability, labor, and productivity analyses to support pricing decisions, cost optimization, and operational efficiency across new and existing business.


• Build and maintain CAPEX/OPEX cost models, rate build-ups, and supporting assumptions under the direction of the Manager; keep inputs current and clearly documented so changes are traceable and explainable.


• Support the team’s standardized Cost Definition framework by maintaining the centralized cost baseline (captive and non-captive), updating intake, cost, and capacity inputs, and helping generate rate and capacity recommendations.


• Gather, validate, and reconcile financial and operational data from multiple systems (e.g., SAP, port/vendor data) to ensure accurate and timely analysis.


• Assist with capacity and network-flow evaluation across ports, VPCs, and IPCs, comparing port inventory vs. storage capacity and modeling sensitivity for future customer growth.


• Develop and maintain business-performance reports and dashboards (e.g., Port Overview Dashboard) to monitor monthly performance, identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, and recommend improvement actions.


• Prepare clear, decision-ready deliverables; Excel models, PowerPoint slides, and supporting narratives, for internal working sessions and executive/leadership review.


• Support RFQ/RFP analysis for major OEM opportunities by compiling validated cost, capacity, and rate inputs for the Manager’s guidance and approval.


• Assist with financial feasibility and business-case preparation for network expansion and site initiatives.


• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to collect recurring inputs and clarify assumptions.


• Help drive the transition from manual, fragmented reporting toward automated reporting using Power BI or similar tools.


• Maintain project trackers, vendor-contract status, rate escalations, and key clauses; support recurring estimate-vs-actual reconciliation to measure pricing accuracy.


• Support special projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned by the Manager.
