Procurement Lead - Data Centre Construction

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

 

• Develop and manage OFCI and long‑lead procurement strategy.
• Coordinate with client teams on POs, contracts, and documentation.
• Lead vendor evaluations, RFI/RFP processes, and selection.
• Align with engineering to confirm technical specifications.
• Track all OFCI and long‑lead deliveries against schedule.
• Maintain expediting and delivery logs.
• Coordinate shipping, customs, and site receipt with logistics partners.
• Resolve delays and logistical issues proactively.
• Oversee OFCI equipment from procurement to site handover.
• Coordinate with construction/GC on delivery and installation timing.
• Ensure compliance with storage, handling, and installation requirements.
• Support FAT/SAT when needed.
• Provide regular updates on procurement status, risks, and mitigation.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Support interface meetings and workshops.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks.
• Monitor scope changes affecting OFCI procurement or delivery.

We would love to hear from you if you: 

• Have extensive experience in a procurement expediting, or project management experience in a construction or engineering environment.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related degree would be preferred.
• Have prior experience managing OFCI equipment or long-lead procurement in the data centre, life sciences, or industrial sectors.
• Have familiarity with supply chain, logistics, and international freight management.
• Have a proven track record of working with global suppliers and managing vendor performance.
• Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven project environment.
• Have experience with procurement software, tracking tools, and reporting platforms (e.g., MS Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.).

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
