This is a hybrid opportunity with 25% travel (including international).  On-site location can be anywhere existing EMEA or US engineering location.  We are interested in every qualified candidates who are eligible to work in the United States. Senior Project Engineer (Westinghouse AP300)

 

The AP Technology Deployment department is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to deliver the AP300 product development project.  The project engineers will report to the AP300 Project Engineering Manager and be assigned to one or several technical areas.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

• Work with support of Functional Area Lead(s) to ensure progress and scope execution
• Responsible for the managing the schedule and budgeting
• Lead point of contact for Functional Area Leads and Project Coordinator
• Responsible for discipline representation in the Product Development Review Meeting (PDRM) discussed in Section 3.2
• Supports the Project Engineering Manager and Design Technical Lead as required

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• MUST HAVE experience with Westinghouse specific AP1000 (AP300 preferred)
• Ability to travel internationally as projects require (up to +/- 25% for peak times)
• Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas:
  • Nuclear systems design
  • Turbine Island/Balance of Plant systems or structural design
  • NSSS components design and analyses
  • Piping layout and/or analysis
  • Licensing
  • Plant layout integration
  • Digital Design (configuration control)
  • Civil, Structural and Architectural engineering
  • Electrical design
• Effective oral and written communications
• Ability to establish effective networks across various functional areas
