Summary of Role: Principal Eng Process Engineering
We are expanding our Advanced Module engineering team and are looking for a Principal Process Engineer.
In this role you will sustain and improve process / SPC to meet quality, cost, productivity requirements. Process improvement to eliminate inherent process weakness to achieve company goals. You will also be responsible for new technology development and technology transfer from other Fabs within GlobalFoundries.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Improve process robustness for high volume manufacturing using statistical tools, DOE techniques, data driven decision making and systematic problem-solving skills –
- Assisting the development of new technologies, and the transfer of those technologies from development to high-volume manufacturing - Implement controls and procedures for preventing quality excursions.
- Support the manufacturing line by working with Maintenance teams to define action plans to fix down equipment and improving equipment uptime
- Support engineering and development activities to achieve the desired cycles of learning - Work on continuous improvement projects to optimize processes with regards to process stability and wafer yield
- Help establish and execute specific department plans and strategies to support the fab to achieve manufacturing objectives, including cycle time, line yield, equipment efficiency - Participate in continuous improvement programs, using Lean Manufacturing practices to improve productivity and cost effectiveness
- Support Fab's efforts in building a world class organization, achieving manufacturing excellence and establishing a team based collaborative culture.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Work as a team with both Equipment and Mfg Engineers to meet Module objectives.
- Drive team to meet key indices of Uptime and OEE as per the goals set for these indices
- Follow up with cross-fab benchmarking activities to engage the best-in-campus practices across fabs
Required Qualifications:
- Technology related Bachelor’s degree: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant discipline.
- Experience – 4 years of prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter; strong leadership qualities
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications: -
- Prior experience in PVD process engineering, AMAT Endura tools
- Knowledge of semiconductor/silicon processing
- Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Technology related Master’s degree: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need.
- Strong ability to understand complex automated systems and human interactions.
Expected Salary Range
$70,700.00 - $133,100.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
