Open Rank Faculty - Counseling Clinical Psychology
Wagner CollegeAbout the role
The Department of Psychology invites applications for an open-rank faculty position in Counseling/Clinical Psychology beginning in Fall 2025. Candidates should hold either a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program. Rank will be dependent upon the candidate’s degree and experience. While an active counseling practice would be a desirable attribute of any applicant, it would be required for consideration for Psy.D. candidates. In addition to courses in counseling/clinical psychology, the successful candidate should be able to teach psychological assessment, psychopathology, and a senior-level seminar course, as well as supervising undergraduate field placements/internships. Candidates with the ability to involve students in field-based or laboratory research are highly desirable. Additionally, candidates with an interest in teaching one or more of the following will be given particular attention: history of psychology, health psychology, positive psychology, and/or sports psychology.
Please submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, graduate transcript, statement of teaching philosophy and experience, evidence of teaching excellence (if available), statement of current and future research plans and/or description of counseling practice, and contact information for three referees saved as a single PDF and uploaded to resume section of the application. Review of application materials will begin on January 15, 2025. Questions should be directed to Dr. Celeste Gagnon, Social and Behavioral Sciences Division Chair, at celeste.gagnon@wagner.edu.
