Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will assist with reviewing documentation for all new and existing condominium and cooperative projects to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as Fannie Mae’ eligibility requirements.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Credit Risk Analyst – Associate rolee - Condo Project Standards Team member  will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: 

  • Ensure condominiums and cooperatives projects are reviewed accurately and promptly..
  • Ensure condominiums and cooperatives meet Fannie Mae guidelines.
  • Determine eligibility of a project by review of Project Documents, including Questionnaires, Appraisals, Budgets and financial statements, inspection reports, reserve studies, Bylaws, Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions- CC&R’s Insurance Declarations, Leasehold Agreements, Offering Plans & Amendments, and other documents.
  • Primary contact for Vendors, Lenders, and business partners for Fannie Mae that may request assistance.
  • Work closely with other team member to expedite review and approval of condo and coop projects according to Fannie Mae guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Three to five years of related mortgage credit guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of FNMA condo and coop eligibility guidelines.
  • Residential mortgage credit underwriting condo and co-op projects experience.
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae Condo Project ManagerTM
  • Understanding and knowledge of leaseholds, deed restrictions, and community land trusts
  • Understanding of project-level insurance requirements
  • Experience reviewing property condition and inspection reports for condo and co-op projects.
  • Demonstrate mastery of condo and co-op requirements by underwriting projects for eligibility in accordance with Fannie Mae standards.
  • Familiarity with project maintenance in Condo Project Manager (CPM)

  • Communicate to both internal and external contacts clearly and concisely.
  • Respond to elevated items quickly and work with Managers to expedite resolution.
  • Collaborate with operations as needed to resolve problems and questions in a timely fashion.
  • Provide timely reports as needed or requested.
  • Adhere to service level agreements while working in a high-volume environment.
  • Team player, detail oriented and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to all lender inquires through established process.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
