Medical Biller and Collector - FL - On Site

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, team player and detail-oriented Medical Biller and Collector to join our team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in medical billing and collections, with a strong background in Coding, Pre-Authorization, Workers Comp Claims, and Insurance Certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately process and submit claims to insurance companies.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and handle denials or rejections.
• Manage pre-authorization processes to ensure timely approval of services.
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding balances from patients and insurance companies.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities and collections.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Stay updated with the latest healthcare billing regulations and practices.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Education & Experience

• Certification in Coding and Billing is required.
• Insurance Certification and Workers Comp Claims experience and knowledge with pre-authorization processes are strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in medical billing and collections.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT).
• Experience of 5 years with ICD - 10 required
• Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records (EHR).
