The Role

The Lead Operations Readiness Engineer will Lead the creation of comprehensive operations readiness plans to ensure smooth transitions from project phases to operational status. Coordinate with project teams to integrate operational requirements, conduct risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance. Provide technical support, deliver training programs, and optimize performance through collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain detailed documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Lead a team of Operations Readiness Engineers and supplementary service engineers.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients’ operations are fully prepared for safe and efficient start-up and ongoing production. Our clients’ cover multiple industries including Hydrogen, Oil & Gas Upstream / Midstream, LNG, Petrochemicals & Refining, Power and Renewables.

Typical responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Plans: Lead the creation of comprehensive operations readiness plans and procedures to ensure smooth transitions from project phases to operational status.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with project teams to integrate operational requirements into project planning and execution.
• Risk Management: Lead the conducting of thorough risk assessments, identify potential issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.
• Technical Support: Lead teams in providing expert technical support during feed, commissioning and start‑up phases, troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are fully operational.
• Training and Mentorship: Assist in developing and delivering training programs for operations personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle operational challenges.
• Performance Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving operational performance and implement best practices.
• Documentation: Ensure detailed records of operations readiness activities, including plans, procedures, risk assessments, and training materials are maintained.
