The Event Planning team at Humana leads and executes events for executives and select associate teams and customer groups. Working with internal and external partners, event planners improve a positive associate and customer experience. The Senior Executive Event Planning Professional, partners closely with the Director, Event Planning, to manage all details of executive events. This role is a highly visible position and manages all aspects of executive events, from initial planning and concept development to execution, ensuring the event runs smoothly, meets objectives, advances enterprise strategy, and stays within budget.

The Senior Executive Event Planning Professional develops and coordinates lines of communication outside the organization. The Senior Corporate Communications Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Executive Event Planning Professional implements policies and programs to enhance corporate reputation and brand among external audiences such as news media, consumers, influential experts, health care providers, employers and others. Begin to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercise considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute 15–20 highly complex events across the U.S. annually.
  • Collaborate with business partners to achieve event objectives.
  • Identify appropriate venues, negotiate contracts, and manage all site logistics.
  • Proactively assess potential risks and implement contingency plans to address issues during events.
  • Communicate essential information to business partners as needed.
  • Provide comprehensive post-event reporting, analysis, and actionable insights to business partners and leadership.
  • Influence and uphold best practices and company guidelines to ensure all meetings align with organizational vision.
  • Lead projects as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Six or more years of experience sourcing and managing vendor relationships, including contract management, vendor sourcing, and event planning with C-suite leadership
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, based on business needs and scope of work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Familiarity with Cvent or similar event management platforms
  • Experience coordinating all travel, meetings, and special event activities
  • Proven ability to ensure efficient workflow and coordination across all event aspects
  • Expertise working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and teams, including leadership
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in corporate events within industries such as healthcare, banking, or law
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with initiative to anticipate needs, present ideas, and deliver high-quality work
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Collaboration skills that contribute positively to a team environment and align with Humana culture

You will report to a Director.

In this role you will work as an individual contributor with no managerial responsibilities.

You will have up to 50% travel.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$86,300 - $118,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
