Bed Management Associate

Job Description

Aids activities related to patient flow including; bed assignment and the transition of patients through the facility. Assists in coordinating patient transfer services from other facilities, including physician access to these services.

Job Responsibility

• Assists in facilitating patient bed assignments according to hospital patient aggregation.
• Aids review of specific orders that may impact bed placement (i.e.: one-on-one constant observation, telemetry needs, pending lab specimens, admit orders for medicine teams).
• Helps in collecting data for Zone alerts (admissions, discharges, bed demands/availability status of surge units, etc.).
• Collates data from Teletracking to provide information needed for daily bed meeting template.
• Escalates bed management problems to registered nurse or team leader.

Job Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
