<p>Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the IT Actuarial Functions &amp; Systems team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as an <b>Oracle Database Administrator</b>. </p> <h2><b>You can look forward to</b></h2> <ul> <li>You carry out performance analyses and initiate the resulting optimisation measures</li> <li>Together with the virtual DBA team, you plan database updates, upgrades, fixes and patches</li> <li>You implement and carry out monitoring tasks</li> <li>You participate in the planning and execution of backup and recovery in cooperation with the storage and backup team</li> <li>You support and advise customers on database administration and configuration</li> <li>As a System Manager, you are responsible for incident, problem, change and capacity Management</li> </ul> <h2><b>You come equipped with</b></h2> <ul> <li>Sound professional experience in the administration of the Oracle database management system (DBMS) under Linux/Unix</li> <li>Degree in computer science or training as an IT specialist or a comparable qualification</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and infrastructure / Microsoft Server</li> <li>Confident handling of common scripting languages</li> <li>Basic understanding of cloud environments (Amazon or Azure) and DBaaS concepts</li> <li>Initial experience with other DBMS systems (e.g. MS SQL, Postgres SQL, MYSQL, Aurora or similar) and with large database environments desirable</li> <li>German and English at a business fluent level</li> </ul> <p>Don't meet all the requirements?
