Reports To: Director of BGM
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Status: Full-time, Classified (Summer Only)
Funding Source: General Fund (14.50/hr)
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for facilities maintenance, landscaping, and custodial support across school buildings and grounds. Interns will assist with upkeep, improvement, and cleanliness of school properties during the summer break.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Currently enrolled in High School or College with good academic and behavior standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with general groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, weeding, raking, and planting.
- Support custodial staff with cleaning classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, and other school areas.
- Help perform basic building maintenance such as painting, assembling furniture, moving equipment, and minor repairs.
- Ensure tools and supplies are used safely and stored properly.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
- Work under the direction of maintenance and custodial supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support district operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, standing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience with landscaping, custodial work, or maintenance is a plus but not required.
