We are seeking to hire a Regional Director of Human Resources. The Regional Director Human Resources provides strategic partnership and hands on support to Pritchard Industries, Mid-Atlantic South region. This role is designed to deliver initiatives that drive business results through people development and improved processes. Additionally, this role will work with the VP of HR on key HR initiatives and projects relative to integration, change management and implementation of HR best practices.

Must reside in VA, MD, DC, only.

Job Description

  • Key strategic advisor and business partner to senior leadership for assigned groups
  • Labor relations - Union experience
  • Partner with strategic stakeholders to help establish and execute on the long-term people vision including driving future organizational design and change management initiatives to maintain a high-performing and motivated workforce.
  • Drive talent strategy including talent acquisition, retention, engagement and development
  • Coach senior leaders to actively manage change and improve organizational effectiveness through workforce strategy, org. design and talent planning
  • Ensure proper coaching of managers to improve employee performance and engagement
  • Develop, lead and shape a wide range of HR initiatives that supports Pritchard Industries and key strategic priorities of creating a high-performance culture and operational excellence
  • Promote and Champion our core values, DE&I goals, and enact the values of diversity, equity and inclusion by promoting representational diversity in our workforce and fostering an equitable and welcoming environment where people from diverse backgrounds can participate and thrive. Act as a steward to ensure that all decisions, programs, and processes are aligned with those values and goals
  • Lead performance management efforts in designated groups to help us identify high and low performers, promote and reward excellence, and drive continuous, transparent feedback across all disciplines
  • Compensation - Ensure competitiveness and alignment with regional HR plans; streamline compensation schemes for different divisions within the East region.
  • Workforce and succession planning – in close cooperation with the leadership and local HR teams, identify future resourcing needs, build succession plans and proactively identify Recruitment – Support recruiting process for most senior/critical positions in the region, and liaise with in-country recruiting teams to drive recruitment at a local level.
  • Talent development – Manage talent review process, performance management, and employee development programs
  • Deliver an exceptional quality of service to the leadership team, as reflected by stakeholder feedback
  • Compilation and analysis of people data to drive decision making
  • Project Management
  • Teach and Train the leadership team on all things coaching and performance management
  • Be a liaison to the regional leaders to help streamline their hiring practices and show additional ways to be cost effective when onboarding new talent.
  • Be a strategic business partner to Regional leaders succession planning, performance management and training of the team.
  • Lead investigations when there are policy and standard violations.
  • Lead the investigations into hotline and ER issues throughout the division.
  • Assist with the integration of future mergers and acquisitions of new locations in the region.
  • Any other duties that the VP of HR and or senior leader’s request.
