I. Job Summary Auditor Analyst Sr. is responsible for leading high quality audit analytics, risk management and continuous auditing.  Provides a high level of business expertise while conducting complex business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses in an effort to align business solutions with the company�s strategy and initiatives. Audit Analyst team members are expected to work collaboratively with our stakeholders, internal and external to manage projects in all aspects from analysis, design, construction, deployment and support. The key focus areas are risk assessment and review of internal controls, corporate policy, laws, and regulations, as they relate to the waste industry.  This level may act as a lead on assigned projects to lesser experienced team members.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the assigned essential duties satisfactorily.  Other minor duties may be assigned and duties may vary by department.  
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of controls to mitigate key IT/business process risks in an effort to promote a well-balanced risk environment, process automation and standardization. 
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of project analyses from problem identification, conceptualization, development of solutions, programming, execution, resource recovery, reporting and recommendations for future risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain ongoing business relationships by utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders across WM to stay abreast of changes to the data architecture and source new data for use in Audit Analytics.
  • Develops advanced statistical models and methodologies to predict, quantify or forecast various operational and performance metrics.
  • Performs high level data analysis; develops complex algorithms and computational solutions as necessary to support the business units of the organization.
  • Provides technical mentorship and training to auditors across all levels.
  • Build visualization analytics to present scenarios from the data; paint the big picture for management reporting on potential risks and incorporate the ability to drill down to the lowest level while doing root cause analyses
  • Support Internal Audit annual risk assessment and planning activities
  • Identify root causes of problems, create effective practical solutions, and implement them under the tactical demands of business operations.
  • Audit duties include, but not limited to � Integrated Audit support, Enterprise Risk management, and Compliance monitoring.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no direct reports, but may occasionally be responsible for delegating assignments and tasks on a project basis.   Also, may be assigned coaching/mentoring tasks to help develop less experienced team members.
IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.    A. Education and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor�s Degree (accredited) in Economics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience building visualization analytics, developing statistical models that predict, quantify and/or forecast data and developing algorithms and computational solutions.  
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • Advanced experience in SAS toolsets (SAS training preferred)
  • PMI Certification is preferred but not required.
