About the role

Join our team at Dixon Quick Coupling in Dallas, NC! We're looking for a hands-on problem solver to join our team as an Automated Equipment Technician. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot and repair high-tech automated equipment, perform failure analysis, and carry out preventative maintenance to keep everything running smoothly. You’ll also work with specialized software, support our engineering team, and coordinate with outside vendors for equipment installations and upgrades. First shift hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshooting and repair of automated equipment including robotics and PLC programs
  • Preventative and predictive Maintenance of automated equipment 
  • Makes repairs to tools and equipment 
  • Uses hand and power tools along with specialized equipment as appropriate 
  • Read and interpret maintenance instructions, manuals, drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Comply with company and OSHA safety requirements 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understand and troubleshoot robots, PLC programs, and other automated equipment
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform electronic, mechanical pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools along with specialized equipment as appropriate
  • Regular and dependable attendance required
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Flexibility of work hours including overtime
  • Ability to work with and around operating equipment 
  • Strong organization and time management skills 
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, items, and/or equipment of up to 50 pounds
