Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. LCE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our LCE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety and Supportability.
What You Will Do
- Responsibilities (Core & Day to Day):
- As a Logistics Systems Engineer you’ll be an integral part of the Life Cycle Engineering team interfacing directly with team members and stakeholders including customer program leaders.
- In this role, you’re responsible for the development and maintenance of detailed Logistics Supportability Analysis, Provisioning data for parts, Spares Analysis and Spares Availability for hardware within a specific product line
- Expectations of the role
- You will work under consultative direction to apply advanced logistics principles to develop complex program level concepts and plans
- You will implement the successful execution of these plans.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
- Completion of 1 internship in a related field
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
- ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Critical thinking skills to ensure detailed status are provided
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
