The Raytheon Finance Operations Supply Chain (OSC) organization has an immediate opening for a Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls (P3) to join our team working onsite at our McKinney, TX location.

The successful candidate will be able to train a group of financial analysts responsible for the daily business and financial activities for programs within the McKinney CMC/ Advanced Product Center (APC) portfolio in the Inter Organization Transfer (IOT) function. The ideal candidate would be able to work in a challenging fast paced team environment, strong emphasis on applying earned value on development contracts, be a success minded team member who possesses strong self-initiative and multi-tasking skills, be able to provide analytical support while under critical deadlines and be involved in process improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • You will be responsible for Cost/schedule control and analysis, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Forecasting, Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), Latest Revised Estimates (LRE) & variance analysis.

  • Reviewing and understanding Hours Per Unit (HPU) within Factory Finance and Operations.

  • Data reviewing and reporting.

  • Partnering with the Program Manager and CAMs/IPTLs; and providing financial leadership in the successful execution of various development contracts. 

  • You will drive the operations finance process, monitor program health and compliance, and partner with other functional team members to improve program financial metrics.

  • In addition, this position is responsible for actively identifying risks that affect cost and/or schedule and providing proactive analysis of all financial aspects of the responsible programs. 

  • Performance of additional ad-hoc analysis will be required as well as support of 5 Year and AOP forecasting.

  • Assist with training junior analysts.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically, candidates will have a bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 3 years of applicable experience. MBA preferred.

  • Experience with Earned Value (EV)

  • Experience with SAP Business Systems (i.e. APEX EV or PRISM EV)

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience developing program financials including development of time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, Earned Value (EV) data compliance and reporting, cost accounting and ongoing overseeing of cost and schedule integration

  • Working knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) concepts, related systems, and processes

  • Exceptional analytical ability necessary to ensure program performance to plan and to ensure that problem areas are immediately identified, and corrective action is taken

  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize program management systems and tools; and independently create and accurately analyze cost data

  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, etc.) in program development and execution

  • Strong written and verbal skills and experience in organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to internal customers, management, and peers
