AI Technical Program Manager, Lead

The Opportunity: 

Booz Allen is seeking an experienced senior AI Technical Program Manager to lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions in support of defense and national security operations. You will utilize a strong technical background in AI and machine learning, combined with proven program management expertise in overseeing complex, high-stakes projects from concept to delivery. This role requires strategic leadership to manage cross-functional teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and drive the successful execution of AI-enabled products and systems.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of AI programs, including cost, schedule, and performance management.

  • Define program objectives, milestones, and success criteria for AI product development and deployment.

  • Oversee the development and deployment of AI products.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as NVIDIA, Palantir, Anduril, Striveworks, Govini, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google.

  • Collaborate with technical leads and product managers to align program deliverables with strategic business objectives.

  • Develop and execute risk management strategies to address technical and operational challenges.

  • Provide high-level briefings and status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement program roadmaps to ensure long-term scalability and performance.

You Have:  

  • 3+ years of experience in program management and AI or ML product development

  • 2+ years of experience managing AI programs in defense or government sectors

  • 2+ years of experience with AI for situational awareness and tactical edge applications

  • Ability to manage large, complex AI programs with direct responsibility for cost, schedule, and performance

  • Ability to align cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders

  • Ability to scale AI-driven applications from prototype inception to large user base

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master’s degree

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience managing development and deployment on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

  • Experience with data technologies such as PostGres, Elastic, MongoDB, Apache Spark, NiFi

  • Experience in secure environment deployments and managing sensitive data

  • Experience with electro-optical (EO) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery

  • Experience with AI-driven drone applications

  • Knowledge of software development frameworks and tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Git

  • Possession of excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Part 107 Remote Pilot’s License

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $128,700.00 to $292,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation pack
