Backend Software Engineer

This role is based in SF and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About the Role

Patreon is seeking applications for backend engineers with a range of seniorities. Our interviewing process is not team specific, but you will be matched with a team before you need to make your decision about whether to accept an offer from us. Depending on your seniority, you will play an increasingly important role in the implementation, design, and architecture of backend code at Patreon. You will also play an increasingly important role in the leadership of your team’s projects and processes to ensure they are meeting your team’s specific business goals.

About You

• 3+ years of experience in backend software development experience.

• Strong experience with Python or a similar language.

• Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles

• Experience with relational databases (such as PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (such as Redis)

• Experience with container orchestration (such as Kubernetes)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work on time
