Registered Charge Nurse Geriatric Behavioral Unit Full Time Days

Summary

The Charge Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care. The Charge Registered Nurse participates in patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Aligned with Nursing Unit Leadership, the Charge Nurse coordinates the delivery of nursing care and provides leadership by working cooperatively with medical, ancillary and support staff in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Qualifications 

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure registration.
• Current BCLS for health care providers.
• One year geriatric mental health experience.
• Other certifications as required by primary area.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mental health nursing, knowledge and skills.

Education:

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree).

Experience:

Required: 1 year of RN experience.

Certifications:

Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
