About the role
Global Provision Tax Manager - hybrid in Denver, CO.
Looking for people local to Denver, or open to moving to Denver, and able to be in the office a couple of days a week.
Oracle is hiring a Global Provision Tax Manager to prepare and review the quarterly and annual global tax provision and tax footnote disclosures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation and review of quarterly and annual global income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including prepare support for Form 10-Q and 10-K tax footnote and disclosures.
- Review, reconcile and maintain quarterly uncertain tax position accruals, uncertain tax position interest calculations, payable reconciliations, and assist with recording quarterly journal entries.
- Prepare quarterly deferred tax and valuation allowance reconciliations, and record quarterly income tax provision journal entries.
- Manage monthly income tax account reconciliations and maintain income tax payable receivable summaries.
- Collaborate with the federal and state compliance teams to validate the provision-to-return true-up adjustments and reconcile the ending income tax payable balance.
- Prepare various analytic summaries for management review, including preparation and delivery of quarterly presentations.
- Maintain SOX documentation to ensure procedures over internal controls are in compliance with company policies.
- Prepare tax provision package for external tax auditor and coordinate responses to inquiries about the income tax provision.
- Assist with monitoring tax legislation changes, researching and resolve technical tax issue.
- Train and mentor junior staff, contractors, and interns.
- Continue to develop a system/approach to ensure accuracy and completeness of global tax provision support.
- Ensure all deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner, including managing the deadlines of junior staff and interns.
Career Level - M2
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive tax/accounting experience in public accounting and industry, with an emphasis on accounting for income taxes and corporate tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP reporting and application of ASC 740.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to details, and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to organize and summarize information in a clear, concise manner specifically tailored for the intended reader/listener.
- Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with external contacts.
- Take ownership of all assigned projects/tasks and follow through.
- Knowledge of computerized tax preparation software, preferably Corptax; and advanced skills in Excel.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
