What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
As an Email Marketing Engineer (in Application Development & Maintenance), you will collaborate closely with our marketing team to design, develop, and optimize email marketing campaigns. You will manage the technical execution of campaigns, including designing email templates, building distribution lists, and supporting internal analytics and reporting tools.

Location - Fully remote (work from home)

Responsibilities

  • Email Template & Campaign Development: Design and develop responsive email templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring compatibility across multiple devices and email clients. Build and implement email campaigns in Net-Results, ensuring quality and consistency in all campaign deliverables. Customize email templates to support dynamic content and personalized customer experiences. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop creative, effective email campaigns that align with marketing objectives. Implement tracking systems (UTM parameters, tracking pixels) to measure the effectiveness of each campaign.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Leverage BigQuery, Power BI, and Looker to analyze and report on email campaign performance, extracting actionable insights to improve future campaigns. Build distribution lists, segment audiences, and recommend optimization strategies based on campaign data and customer behaviors. Troubleshoot any performance or tracking issues that arise during campaign execution.
  • Optimization & Testing: Drive continuous optimization of email campaigns by performing A/B tests, analyzing results, and recommending adjustments to increase engagement (open rates, CTR, conversions). Ensure dynamic content is correctly implemented and tested for personalization at scale. Stay up-to-date with email marketing best practices and trends, recommending new techniques for campaign optimization.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with the marketing team to understand campaign goals, target audiences, and messaging, ensuring alignment between creative and technical execution. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., data, design) to ensure accurate segmentation, list management, and consistent user experience. Assist with the creation and maintenance of internal dashboards to track campaign performance and share insights with stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that all email marketing efforts comply with industry regulations and standards, including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other privacy laws. Implement email deliverability best practices to maximize inbox placement and minimize bounces or spam complaints. Keep up-to-date with new tools, technologies, and email marketing trends to continually refine processes and deliver better results.


Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Net-Results (an email marketing platform), with the ability to analyze and improve email campaign performance using data tools such as BigQuery, Power BI, and Looker.
  • Ability to conduct A/B tests and optimize email content to improve key performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions), highly preferred.
  • Strong experience with email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid) to ensure compatibility and performance across platforms, preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Anticipated Pay Range $79,300.00 - 113,250.00 USD
