Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a proactive Shift Supervisor to join our Mt. Jewett, PA MDF facility. The role will be responsible for our 2nd shift with some weekend coverage. In some cases, the role requires coverage for other supervisors. This leader will manage, mentor and coach a team of up to eighteen production associates to achieve production, quality, safety, and reliability targets at our Medium Density Fiber Board (MFD) manufacturing site in Mt. Jewett, PA.

Mt. Jewett, PA is in a terrific location with easy access to the great outdoors, numerous parks, lakes, and nature trails within driving distances. Outdoor enthusiasts can indulge in activities such as hiking, fishing, and boating, making it a haven for nature lovers. Mt. Jewett is also conveniently located near larger cities like Erie and New York State Line.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitating team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving, and resolution; building employee commitment and ownership and holding employees accountable.
  • Identifying and executing initiatives that will help drive improvements in competitive position, delivering value to the business, and to meet Clarendon’s key drivers’ objectives.
  • Supervising and coordinating production efforts to drive continuous improvement in all associated work processes affecting EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.
  • Leading a wood products production team to work injury-free/incident free in a continuous manufacturing process.
  • Fostering an environment consistent with Principle Based Management philosophy and framework.
  • Driving safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards.
  • Monitoring product quality and providing direction to crew members to maximize production efficiency; providing safety training to crew members; providing coaching, team development/performance management through Principle Based Management processes; mentoring crew members to enable them to develop their Knowledge/Skills/Abilities for career advancement.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • OSB Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/team managemen
