The position is intended for a person who has an interest in expanding their knowledge of the in-vitro diagnostics industry, regulations, and products; specifically, as they apply to product labeling. The position will allow the intern to explore the use of AI in a regulated industry and for non-English content as it is focused on the proofreading of multilingual, IVD product labeling instructions for use

This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience. As a Multilingual Proofreader Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Research, investigate, pilot AI tools to assist in human verification of multilingual content

• Collaborates with internal team and participates on project teams, as needed

• Works across product lines and with internal partners including technical leaders, content developers, writers, designers, and other proofreaders

• Reviews multilingual IVD instructions for use by utilizing both human and AI functionality to ensure accuracy to source documents, requested changes, consistency, and adherence to company and product-line standards

• Compares a source document against a new document, updated document, or document standard to ensure the correct changes are made

• Annotates technical documentation (with Adobe Acrobat markup tools) with requested changes according to product-line standards, department style guide, and project-specific style sheets

• Manages workload to meet committed dates and escalates workload concerns, as needed

• Bilingual and/or linguistically trained individual

• Technologically driven with interest in AI

• Proofreading experience, particularly multilingual medical device documentation

• Technical knowledge.

• Self-starter and have ability to work independently.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities. Must be able to handle quick turnarounds, while maintaining high quality in a fast-paced environment.

• Multilingual documentation skills (e.g., file management, formatting, editing, technical documentation)

 

Required skills and education to have for the success of this role:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program majoring in a medical, technology, or linguistic field

• (minimum rising senior preferred)

• Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)  

• Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required

 

The hourly base pay range for this position is:

$25.00 - $28.00
