The Role:
BeyondTrust is looking to hire a Strategic Finance Associate to propel its strategic finance function into the next phase of growth. This is a hands-on strategic position that will sit within FP&A and partner with our Corporate Development and Executive Leadership teams to shape business priorities and influence our company’s strategy through data-driven decision-making and financial storytelling. This is a high-impact role that will offer substantial senior leadership exposure and the opportunity to impact strategic decision-making in a PE-backed growth environment. The ideal candidate will be an expert financial modeler with a sharp eye for accuracy, a strong communicator who can effectively convey complex analyses to a broad audience, and will be able to strike a delicate balance between addressing immediate high-importance needs and contributing to long-term initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide insight and support for the strategic initiatives of the Company that will lead to increased profitability and long-term value creation
- Develop and maintain financial projections to support various new and existing strategic initiatives across the organization
- Examine the performance of comparable companies to develop and maintain benchmarking materials that provide insight into our performance and inform long-term planning
- Support any M&A / corporate development / strategic partnership/capital market activities as they arise, including proforma modeling, due diligence support, and key meeting attendance
- Prepare board materials, investor and external presentations that clearly and succinctly communicate the overall strategy and financial outlook of the company
- Prepare regular cash flow forecasts to assist the management team in making debt paydown recommendations to the Board of Directors, including debt covenant analysis and monitoring
- Remain flexible and willing to wear multiple hats in support of high-importance, ad hoc leadership requests
- Portco reporting and other interaction with the private equity team as required (Francisco Partners / Clearlake Capital)
- Support ad hoc requests from the Transformation Office and Executive Leadership Team as required
What You’ll Bring:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, corporate finance, or in Strategic Finance at a high-growth PE-backed portco or startup
- Experience in evaluating and forecasting SaaS and subscription business models, with a sound understanding of the SaaS business model and key metrics (ARR, ACV, CAC, etc.)
- Excellent communication/presentation skills with a track record of presenting complex analyses to executives/senior management clearly and concisely
- Crisp communication and presentation skills in both formal and informal settings
- Highly curious and strong ability to work independently, thriving in a fast-paced, always-changing environment
- A smart, self-driven, dynamic individual with outstanding communication skills and a well-balanced ego
- Highly organized individual with an execution/delivery driven mindset
- Fundamentally curious and relentless in understanding the “why”
- Expert level in Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior experience with NetSuite, Adaptive or other EPM tool, and PowerBI or other data warehouse
- BA in finance, accounting, economics, or business - MBA a plus
- East Coast remote preferred, with the option for hybrid in the greater Atlanta or Boston areas.
- Quarterly or more frequent travel to the office or other meetings may be required
