In-Home Furniture Technician (Robinson, PA)

Purpose:

Ensures highest quality of product through inspection and repair in compliance with product handling and customer service standards in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Perform Essential Repairs on casegoods and upholstery: Repair crushed corners, burn-in dents and gouges; strip, sand and refinish tops; cut replacement glass and mirror plate; and install factory replacement tops; upholstered panels, springs, and mechanisms, rebuild upholstered frames, blind stitch fabric, repair leather scuffs and cuts.
2. Inspect, evaluate, and repair of merchandise.
3. Practice safe and secure material handling methods in accordance with product handling standards.
4. Report errors found on documents to supervisor.
5. Complete all documentation, including digital photos, neatly and accurately.
6. Maintain accurate inventory of customer parts.
7. Operate manual and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
9. Other duties as assigned.

   Skills and Abilities:

10. Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
11. Basic reading and comprehension skills.
12. Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
13. Excellent organizational skills.
14. Outstanding customer service skills.
15. Knowledge of GERS system preferred.

Physical Demands:

1. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers using telephone.
2. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand , push, pull and lift cartons weighing approximately 50 - 100+ lbs. repetitively.
3. Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen.
4. Ability to use hands to type information into computer.
