Description
The Family Conservancy is currently seeking an Intake and Administrative Support Specialist to join our Start Young team at our Kansas City, KS location. This exciting opportunity is a full time direct hire position with excellent benefits.
Hourly Pay Range - $40,000 - $45,000
The Intake and Administrative Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting the needs of families and child care provider partners as families move through the process of selecting child care at a Start Young provider partner. Additionally the Intake and Administrative Support Specialist will support the gap funding and child assessment process to ensure Start Young is meeting the project’s outcomes in a timely manner.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides superior English/Spanish customer service to internal and external stakeholders by maintaining a professional, friendly, and trauma-informed care framework for all interactions.
- Answers incoming calls and returns voicemails and emails promptly.
- Maintains current knowledge of community resources, including internal agency programs, to provide to clients and co-workers as needed.
- Obtains client information and data for the intake and assessment process.
- Coordinates with clients to ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Creates and maintains client records in the Gap Funding Data System.
- Assists Start Young Team with diverse projects, including migration to a new data system.
- Enters Child Assessment data into multiple online systems.
- Supports the coordination of family engagement events and provider training.
- Provides general administrative support.
Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Bilingual fluency in written and spoken English/Spanish preferred.
- Continuous quality improvement and the mission and values of The Family Conservancy.
- Proficiency with or the capacity to learn basic word processing, spreadsheet, and email.
- Functionalities in the Google Suite.
- Working knowledge of computerized database systems with an emphasis on data entry is preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with caregivers, other agency staff, and community partners.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be a self-starter and work independently in a fast-paced office environment are required.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two years experience working in an office environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
