Job Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPEREINCE, AND/OR LICENSURE: 

1. Bachelor’s degree AND One year of management or pharmacy experience. Experience in training, leadership, or other related specialized experience required; 

OR Associates degree AND Three year’s pharmacy experience. Experience in training, leadership, or other related specialized experience required; 

OR High school diploma or equivalent AND Five year’s pharmacy experience. Experience in training, leadership, or other related specialized experience required. 

2. Must be nationally certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or EXCPT within 9 months of hire. 

3. Must be registered with the WV Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician trainee upon hire.

3. Coordinates technician projects and assignments with pharmacy managers to achieve hospital and department goals. 

4. Oversees the education and training of pharmacy technicians. 

5. Conducts and documents technician departmental orientation and training.  Coordinates technician orientation in all pharmacy service areas.
