About the role
Amazon is seeking a Program Manager to join our North American Transportation team with the Program Management Office. This role provides the opportunity for broad exposure to various business, financial, and technical teams across Amazon Operations.
The person in this role will be responsible for coordinating cross team initiatives, with an emphasis on our Learning and Development programs.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and manage the lifecycle of new and existing programs/initiatives, successfully delivering concurrent complex projects aligned with business objectives
- Engage the right stakeholders, customers, and partner teams to communicate with and impact critical business initiatives, and craft and deliver cross-functional, scalable solutions
- Develop, implement, and govern KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to stakeholders on program performance, and use this data to drive business decisions
- Help partner and stakeholder teams make trade-offs by considering the impact to the business and customer (e.g., customer experience, quality, efficiency, etc.)
- Proactively identify opportunities to continuously improve program quality, efficiency and operational excellence
- Assist in the compilation and narrative writing for key initiatives to senior leadership
A day in the life
A typical day includes working with the NA Transportation Learning and Development team to manage programs that increase Supply Chain knowledge across the organization. You may also participate in large document development (lessons learned, OP1/2), drive weekly and monthly business reviews, and daily calls during high velocity events like Peak and Prime Days.

About the team
We are a dynamic and fun team comprised of Program/Product Managers and Learning Development Specialists. We see ourselves as the glue that binds the many NA Transportation Businesses to our shared goals and objectives.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Arlington, VA, USA | Austin, TX, USA | Bellevue, WA, USA | Nashville, TN, USA | Tempe, AZ, USA
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
