As a part of the Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP), you will apply your financial skills in an assignment at one of our America’s North Plant locations to support the Plant Finance Department. You will also complete additional assignments in two of the following areas: America’s North Operations - Finance, Commercial Finance, Internal Audit, and Financial Planning & Analysis. Other assignments may also be available depending on the business need. The FLDP is a three-year program that prepares you for leadership roles in Finance.

Reporting Relationships:

The position reports to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.

During the development program, you’ll:

Participate in rotations:

• Required Rotation:
• Plant Finance: 1 year rotation
  • Work closely with the plant controller on the financial aspects of the operation.
  • Expect to participate in: month-end and year-end closing and Sarbanes-Oxley reporting and execution, reviewing general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and performing fixed asset, inventory and cost accounting. 
  • Relocation is required for this assignment.
• Additional Rotations: 2 Assignments, 1 year each
• Internal Audit:
  • Validate management testing associated with the Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements while participating in the execution of plant, division and corporate audits.
  • The primary job duties include participating in the planning and execution of various audit projects with the objectives of assessing the design and effectiveness of internal controls and validating the accuracy of account balances.
• America’s North Operations - Finance
  • Responsible for performing standardized or routine professional accounting and financial analysis work for America’s North Operations.
  • The primary job duties include the compilation, consolidation & analysis of financial data related to operations.
• Commercial Finance
  • Responsible for providing timely pricing and profitability analysis to sales, marketing’ and financial stakeholders.
  • This will be accomplished through the use of pricing and data tools, sales and customer feedback and an understanding of cost and profitability data.
• Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Responsible for providing timely and accurate forecasts to meet the various forecasting needs within America’s North Finance.
  • The primary job duties include ownership of the operating expense forecast and coordination with Plant Finance related to plant metrics.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to relocate – relocation is required upon completion of training (fin
