The Quality Clinic Lead is the central point of contact for activities within the Quality Clinic at Sensor Systems. This role is responsible for reporting and addressing quality metrics to leadership, ensuring that root cause analysis and corrective actions are effectively implemented for continuous quality improvement. The Clinic Lead oversees product return corrective actions, internal quality escape risk containment, and will mentor engineers to use quality tools such as 8D, Apollo, Fault Tree analysis, and Ishikawa diagrams, along with the local 8D software, ETQ. Additionally, the Clinic Lead maintains the certification of the Quality Clinic and supports regulatory audits (AS9100, NADCAP) and customer quality audits.

What You Will Do: 

  • Execute organizational plans and lead quality improvement activities for targeted areas of the organization to support leadership.  
  • Provide Quality Assurance support to customers, suppliers, partners and targeted departments of the organization.  
  • Execute the Quality Assurance strategy of the organization to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. 
  • Provide Quality interface and expertise between the organization and its customers to proactively assure that their needs and expectations are understood and satisfied. This includes contract review/flow-down, the complaint management process, and the implementation of the corresponding corrective / preventive actions. 
  • Provide support to the Supply Chain Management organization relative to the collection and analysis of Supplier Quality data as well as provide Quality interface, expertise and support to the Plant’s/SBU’s suppliers and partners. This includes the preparation of reports of supplier performance used to give feedback to suppliers and to the organization. 
  • Provide expertise in Quality Assurance and process improvement tools and methods to targeted functions of the organization to support them in their continuous improvement activities. 
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product / process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas of the organization.   
  • Provide support in the way of development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits with the objective of improving process performance and capability. 
  • Responsible for entire projects with significant scope and complexity.  
  • Contribute to the department or business unit by applying their advanced knowledge of one or more functional areas.
  • Assist in the development and coaching of others.  
  • Up to 10% domestic travel as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • 2 years of experience within a quality role or discipline.  
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.  
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. 

Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).  
  • Experience with root cause and corrective action methodologies.  
  • Knowledge of formal quality tools. 
  • Knowledge of quality control requirements within supply chain. 
  • Understanding of how to facilitate RCCA within supply chain. 
  • Understanding of the standards, implementation, and certification process of Quality Management Systems such as AS/EN9100, ISO-9001, or any other industry-specific standard or regulation. 
  • Basic understanding of the requirements of customer-specific Quality systems certification programs.  
  • Basic knowledge of the tools and techniques of Lean Manufacturing such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S - Workplace Organization, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance, Mistake Proofing, etc. 
  • Understanding of the concept of Cost of Quality and specifically of the Cost of Non-Conformance and uses the Cost of Quality report to identify opportunities for improvement and waste reduction.
