Overview
The position reports to the Vice President, Regional Finance within the corporate Finance organization.
The EBA Leader fosters an entrepreneurial culture to create and offer a comprehensive suite of advanced analytics services to internal stakeholders. To deliver, they are responsible for developing internal capabilities, governance, and processes, building an analytical technology stack, and enhancing the analytics and AI skills of the EBA team through training and upskilling. The EBA leader must also guide a diverse team with varied skill sets consisting of data scientists, business intelligence analysts, and financial modelers to deliver on results. The EBA leader must also be able to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and provide guidance and strategic direction to the team while balancing and satisfying demands from Commercial, Finance, and Marketing stakeholders.
The EBA leader must also effectively engage with functional leadership on advanced analytics and reporting of importance to their domains including but not limited to:
- Finance: Financial modeling, risk/scenario models, root cause analysis, and deals evaluation
- Marketing: Customer/persona segmentation, marketing mix modeling, campaign effectiveness, market/competitive intelligence, upstream marketing, multi-touch attribution, and multimodal content personalization
- Commercial: Territory planning/Market expansion modeling, geo-mapping/geo-analytics, sales and customer analytics, sales force effectiveness, targeting and opportunity identification, revenue forecasting, customer attrition, sales funnel/pipeline analytics, and PSC prediction models
EBA leader is expected to proactively engage and collaborate with Finance, Commercial and Marketing leaders both center-led and regional including, but not limited to: HCP, Health Systems, Health Plans, Emerging Markets, Enterprise Accounts, Market Research, Market Strategy, Strategic Solutions, Upstream/Downstream Marketing, Regional finance, Regional Commercial, Clinical Franchises, as well as Regional Senior Leadership Teams. Stakeholder business strategic plans and priorities will help drive decisions on analytic support priorities and resource allocation.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and trusted advisership to the key functional VPs in Finance, Commercial, and Marketing
- Skillfully convey complex analytical results and concepts into concise and actionable business-oriented summaries for the Executive Leadership Team
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to institute a governance framework to manage compliance and ethical guidelines for analytics, data, and AI, Committees and teams to guide prioritization and operational intake and delivery processes across reporting, ad hoc analytics, strategic projects, and solutions
- Delivers analytical insights cross-functionally that support business decision-making and drive growth on top of a common analytics framework and data one source of truth
- Responsible for developing, communicating insights effectively, and selling an advanced analytics suite of services and solutions tailored to the needs of Finance, Commercial, and Marketing, and driving adoption within their respective functional teams
- Architects and develops the corresponding capabilities and analytics technology stack that integrates predictive modeling, automation, and self-service analytics using AI-supported platforms and applications alongside existing Quest infrastructure – including but not limited to AI platforms (GPT), visualizations (PowerBI, Tableau), coding platforms/tools (Github, VS code), programming languages (Python, SQL, SAS), and database management.
- Leads, trains, develops and mentors team members to upskill and enhance their analytics capabilities and drive their adoption of AI-supported tools, automation, processes, and key programming languages including Python, SAS, and SQL.
- Oversees analytics and reporting needs within the EBA across Financial Modeling, Business Intelligence, and Data Science.
- Leverages best practices in data and decision sciences, business strategy, analytics architecture, executive level engagement, and change management
- Leads internal change management efforts for the function, ensuring analytics adoption is seamless and deeply integrated into the businesses
- Engages with to center-led strategic corporate functions as well as regions – Strategic solutions, Market Research & Analytics, Customer Marketing, Commercial Excellence & Analytics, Commercial Strategy & Innovation, Emerging Markets Strategy & Solutions, Corporate Strategy, Regional finance, Pricing, Regional commercial and sales, Franchises, Customer segments and Region Senior Leadership Team.
